SurvivalPack offers a prioritized list of items to be considered when assembling one or several backpack kits to be quickly relied on when prompt departure and/or self-reliance is demanded in emergency situations. From standard essentials like waterproof matches, spare keys, flashlight and pocket knife, to special-use gear like car power inverter, green laser pointer and potassium iodide pills, over 100 items are listed and pictured, with details and suggestions on use, and an Internet reference source for additional information. Version 2.0 allows the user to select choices from among the items and save the selection to a particular list, then email it to self, friends or family as a reference. The developer plans to update the list and app features based on continuing research and user suggestions, and invites such suggestions via a link in the app "information" screen. No-one should be without a family plan of where and how to meet in an emergency, and a small pre-packed bag of basic survival gear! This app can make preparation of your own Survival Pack much easier! It is also invaluable for more leisurely preparation for a backpacking or trekking journey.
